A Christmas Meme!

RBJ December 2007 Collaboration

5 - Name 5 favorite Christmas songs?

I do not really have "favourite" Christmas songs but here are five Christmas songs that I "like."

  • 'Silent Night'--one of the very first songs I learned to play on the guitar when I was eight.
  • 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.' Ever since I can remember my grandma always buys chestnuts during Christmas and opens it for me, my sisters, and my cousins.
  • 'Pasko Na.' (I think this is the name of the song).
  • 'Jingle Bell Rock.' I have such cute memories of singing this upbeat song in choir.
  • 'We Don't Have a White Christmas.' A beautiful song written by someone in my choir. Most of the people in my choir are from countries that do snow but "the feeling is still the same" during Christmas (just in case you did not get it that quotation is from the song). Actually, if I had to pick a favourite Christmas song this would be the one.
4 - Name 4 gifts you plan to buy for others.
  • Baking utensils for my mom because she loves to bake but always complains about how she needs this and that.
  • A watch for one of my sisters.
  • A (rain?) jacket for my other sister.
  • A DVD collection of some sort (maybe SG-1?) for my boyfriend. Maybe... If they can get their packaging issues sorted out.
3 - Name 3 things you would like for Christmas.
  • Lots of fancy, dangly earrings!
  • The opportunity to go scuba diving at least once this Christmas...
  • A Chinese teapot set, which has already been given to me :).
2 - What 2 places do you plan to be during Christmas?
  • Manila.
  • In the ocean... Scuba diving...
1 - What is 1 important person, place, or thing you love about Christmas?
  • Wrapping presents.

Threesome!

In hopes of being productive I decided to go to the library but here I am in the library filling out memes instead of studying. Oh well, because all is well; I have done most of my homework for tomorrow because I was supposed to be going out to dinner and to First Thursday in the Pearl District with my roommates tonight but that just got canceled.

Anyway, here is Thursday Threesome and this week's theme is 'Time is on my Side!'

Onesome: Time is - Your friend? ...Or your enemy? It's your call, but how do you feel about "time?" Are you in need of a spare cupful? ...Or are you set?

I have always had (enough) time on my side and if that is either a bad or a good thing all really depends on the situation. There are occasions when I would wish that time would paradoxically move more slowly and faster, and occasions when everything was just perfect.

Twosome: on my - way out the door, the last thing I check is to see.... Go ahead, fill in the blank!

Out the door of my room to leave the apartment? I check several things in one glance but the one thing that others may find most bizarre is how I check the window is cracked open just a bit to let air circulate and make sure the blinds are either pulled down or up depending on the time of day.

Threesome: "Side - out Sports"... I just love that name. Have you seen any fun signs or slogans lately you can share with the gang?

Unfortunately, I cannot entertain you with this last question because I have not seen anything catchy... Perhaps tomorrow I will stumble across something amusing and silly.

Thursday Threesome

Onesome: Somewhere, anywhere? Vacation season is just ahead; do you have any plans mapped out yet?
Unfortunately, I don't have anything that exciting planned. It's just a summer internship and the need to go to a beach with friends who are flying in for that.

Twosome: Beyond this week? How far ahead do you plan for your days off? Or do they just show up and you enjoy whatever happens?
I tend to just go with the flow just coming up with plans a week or two before they actually materialize. However, even in the planning stages it's always still up in the air.

Threesome: The Sea. Does that sound like the trip for you? Somewhere beyond the sea to an island for a week or two or twenty?
I already have a plan to go to an island (but I'm still not sure if it's actually going to happen just yet...)! I love the ocean; relaxing on the beach watching the sun rise and set, snorkeling, scuba diving. It's love.

Sexual Orientation

Klein Sexual Orientation Grid

I scored an average of 1.29

012345
6
HeterosexualBisexualHomosexual

Meaning

This result can also be related to the Kinsey Scale:

0 = exclusively heterosexual
1 = predominantly heterosexual, incidentally homosexual
2 = predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3 = equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 = predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5 = predominantly homosexual, incidentally heterosexual
6 = exclusively homosexual

Summary

The idea of this excercise is to understand exactly how dynamic a person's sexual orientation can be, as well as how fluid it can be over a person's lifespan. While a person's number of actual homo/heterosexual encounters may be easy to categorize, their actual orientation may be completely different. Simple labels like "homosexual", "heterosexual", and "bisexual" need not be the only three options available to us.

Take the quiz?

*Shrugs*

It's impossible to be completely straight.
